Terrific quilts, and what a fun giveaway!
ReplyDeleteMy sewing-related resolution: to finish up those UFOs -- some just need binding, a couple are basted and ready for quilting, more than a few are partial tops.... My goal is to have those finished up by November 1st.
Great quilts. I am purposing to finish up the ufo's that are stacking up! Not to say that I won't start something new, but just want to get the unfinished ones quilted. Thanks for the great giveaway!
ReplyDeleteTo complete my ufos!
ReplyDeleteI am using up scraps to make different things I haven't tried before. I have just finished a clam shell purse, a mini log-cabin cushion and plan to make a patchwork beach bag next.
ReplyDeleteMy resolution is always, not just for the new year, to finish UFOs. But I always seem to have the need to start something new, so I'm afrai I will always have that stack of UFOs
ReplyDeleteMy goal is for every 'new'fabric creation I hope to make 2 creations using scraps!
ReplyDeleteBasically...to use as much fabric as possible! :)
My resolution is to make 3 of the quilts that I have the fabric for (some are even cut out). I have 8 that I have fabric and patterns for so once I make 3 (some are baby and some are lap), then I can treat myself to a fat quarter or two...
ReplyDeleteMy goal this year is to be fearless! I need to dive into free motion quilting, curves, improv piecing and not be afraid of messing up. We all have to start somewhere, right?
ReplyDeletemy resolution this year is to spend less time swapping and more time finishing my WIPs. i started 2013 with not a single WIP and ended with seven. Oops.
ReplyDeleteMy sewing resolution this year is to become more precise... no more laziness! if something doesn't match up just right... take a minute to rip it out and try again :D
ReplyDeleteMy sewing resolution is to consume. I want to use up some of all the fabric I have collected over the years I need to start using it therefore consume. I also want to win a giveaway hehehe!
ReplyDeleteHI, my plan is to continue to perfect my FMQing>want it to look a little neater!
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing!
msstitcher1948@yahoo.com
Oh, how I love dots!! My resolution for the new year is to complete more projects than I start!!
ReplyDeleteOMG - I love those polka dots! What gorgeous fabrics!
ReplyDeleteI really love the fat flying geese quilt you made. I don't really do "resolutions" but I do want to learn how to paper piece this year.
I'm planning on finishing a UFO for every new project I start!!
ReplyDeleteLove your Fat Flying Geese quilt ... and the great fabrics. I don't make resolutions much anymore, but my GOAL is to spend less time puttering around and GET MORE QUILTS DONE !!! Thanks for the chance to win !!
ReplyDeleteYour Fat Flying Geese is superb! Love the value changes! I'd like to keep up with my making projects that at least 'begin' from my stash. Thanks for a great giveaway!
ReplyDeleteI love these fabrics!
ReplyDeleteI love your quilts! My sewing resolutions are to make more time to sew and expand my free motion quilting skills!
ReplyDeleteI would love to receive these fabrics. My sewing resolutions include a quilt for my soon to be born granddaughter and also making more time in my schedule to sew!
ReplyDeleteto make all my married grandkids a quilt this year, thanks for the chance
ReplyDeleteI love the polka dots!
ReplyDeleteThis years goals include traveling bee w bloggy friends (already in the works!) a baby quilt for my first nephew, and hand quilt my Honey Honey quilt
I've resolved to learn some new techniques--mostly, I want to learn to sew circles and triangles using my sewing machine. I can do them by hand, but the idea of using my machine is a bit intimidating. 2014 is the year. Thanks for the chance to win such a great giveaway.
ReplyDeleteI'm trying hard not to make any more resolutions apart from the grocery list of stuff to do that I've got going. That said, I'm going to focus on the journey, enjoying the all the parts of the quilting, not just the finish!
ReplyDeleteI'm trying to finish more (and not buy more for a bit).
ReplyDeleteMy goal is to cut a scalloped border and apply bias binding to my heart quilt that I have been avoiding for a year. I love the polka dots.
ReplyDeleteMy 2014 resolution is to cut my WIP list in half by the end of the year. I think it needs to go from 38 to 19. That doesn't mean that I can't start new projects. It just means that I need to finish all but 19 of my projects. Thanks for the sharing the GORGEOUS fabrics with us!
ReplyDeleteI would absolutely love that stack of fabric! I've got two quilts that need to be finished but I really want to start a new project :)
ReplyDeleteHi Kati and thank you for a great give away! So beautiful Fabrics and I love your quilts!
ReplyDeleteUsually I don't make plans or resolutions for the NEW year - I let the time lead me. But I do have now one ufo/quilt ghost in my mind and hope to finish it finally. Happy NEW Year! x Teje
nerospost(at)gmail(dot)com
Two things! I want to make a bed-size quilt for us (me and the hubs), and refrain from buying more fabric until I've used up some of what I bought this last year.
ReplyDeleteLovely quilts! the wonky baby is on top of my to do list now.
ReplyDeleteMy main goal is to improve my FMQ and therefore reduce my UFO pile. I have great ideas for my UFO's but all involve quilting that is yet beyond my skill.
ReplyDeleteI will improve...I will improve...I will.....
Oh wow! Awesome giveaway. My goal for 2014 is to work on my random/improv quilting skills. Random and improv are EXTREMELY difficult for me... I'm a planner, I love structure and order. :-)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful quilt! I am still working through the scrap bin and sharing lots of tips and ideas about using them on my blog.
ReplyDeleteLove the dot bundle! Thanks for the chance.
No resolutions here... Just a resolve to keep sewing through life's busyness :) great finishes!! Love that baby quilt!
ReplyDeletegreat fabrics!! i have to finish 2013 before i can start on 2014 lol but i did resolve to get better at paper piecing and FMQ

ReplyDeleteWouldn't it be fun to find that in my mailbox!
ReplyDeleteJanet
Those polka dots are TOO cute - thanks for the great giveaway!!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the chance to win. My sewing resolution is to try to only buy fabric I have a plan for.
ReplyDeleteThose dots are incredible! My resolution is to finish a full-sized quilt. I've never done that yet! (Only minis and mug rugs and quilted totes, things like that.)
ReplyDeleteno resolutions here :) Just quilting and sewing along ..
ReplyDeleteBeautiful fabrics and your quilts are, as always, spectacular!
ReplyDeleteThank you for the chance :)
Hi,
ReplyDeleteMy sewing irresolution or goal is to purchase a longarm. I have outgrown quilting on my regular sewing machine.I love the dot fabric. Thanks for the chance to win. Jess
jessica.breidinger@yahoo.com
No resolutions here...:)
ReplyDeletePick me!
ReplyDeleteI want to get better at FMQ this year and my big resolution is to finish off projects before I start a new one! Thanks for the chance!
ReplyDeleteI would really like to organize my fabric/scraps ! No sense in mentioning the perpetual UFO resolution!
ReplyDeleteThank you for the giveaway! My only resolution is to not buy fabric if I can for the first six months of the year. I give myself another two weeks before I cave.
ReplyDeleteKeep sewing!
ReplyDeleteWorking on using my stash. Making charity quilts for kids.
ReplyDeleteTo finish a quilt for a graduation present and make more coordinating clothes for my kids instead of random pieces that don't work together.
ReplyDeleteI love that pattern on top!
ReplyDeleteResolutions: use up what I have before buying more. This applies to sewing AND the rest of my life: bathroom, fridge, crafting.
This is my year to clean the slate. All WIPs will be finished, repurposed or donated by the end of 2014 and before I buy anymore fabric . . . but that resolution doesn't extend to winning more ;) Thanks for the chance.
ReplyDeleteSuch pretty fabric!
ReplyDeleteI, like many others, have resolved to finished all my unfinished! I could quilt for months without actually having to step into a fabric store, real or virtual! I'm committed for the year. :)
ReplyDeleteI try to set realistic goals for myself or I get bogged down. My goals are to finish my bee blocks on time every month, finish my The Sugar Block Club 2014 block every month, and to spend as much time with my hubby and fur babies as possible!
ReplyDeleteMy new years resolution was to just enjoy sewing. To relax and not feel like I had to make everything I came across and ending up not finishing anything.
ReplyDeleteLike most people, it is to finish what I started! I'm a new quilter and already have two "works-in-progress" that I need to finish. Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteemyerly(at)wideopenwest(dot)com
I used to set goals but inevitably disappointed myself. While I thought they were completely realistic, life too often unexpectedly got in the way, and prevented me from accomplishing what I wanted. So, I don't do that to myself anymore. I simply have a healthy goal of sewing and quilting as much as possible, while teaching quilting, and writing about quilting. That's plenty for 2014. Thanks for the chance to win that lovely fabric bundle.
ReplyDeleteWhat nice fabric bundles! Thanks for the chance to win one. My resolution this year is to retire so I can spend more time quilting. :D
ReplyDeleteThis year I'd like to make fewer - but more complex- quilts. Thanks!!
ReplyDeleteMy resolution was to do one quilt at a time . . . . I failed within the first 48 hours. Thanks for the chance; that fabric would make a perfect quilt for my friend's new baby!
ReplyDeleteI've always like those sketchy dots. And blue's my favorite color and I've been meaning to work with more solids. So yeah, either one would be great, thanks!! Boy do I have sewing resolutions, more than I could ever in a millions years list. But one is coming to the forefront: free-motion quilting. I've been saying it for the past two years and done not one single thing about it. But my birthday's tomorrow and I'm getting the foot, so no more excuses!
ReplyDeleteoooooh, fabric! This year I'm working on more quilts and trying to finish up some tops that have been in progress forever. I'm also working on letting go of some that have lots of work in them but are just not up to par (ie they will probably fall apart in the wash...).
ReplyDeleteHow fun! My goal is to make more quilts this year. I got caught up in other things last year and only made two quilts from start to finish - and I'm not the kind of girl who lets WIPs pile up. I just had other things going on. But this year my twins will switch to toddler beds, so I'm starting with two quilts for them - hopefully more will come!
ReplyDeleteI'm in the situation as the reader above - I hope to retire this year, and devote myself to more creative endeavours. I feel SO good when I can create - it's my favourite part of quilting (not a fan of the cutting out pieces!)
ReplyDeleteMy goal is for at least one finish each month this year...and most of those from my UFO pile :) Thanks for a chance to win!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful colors! I'm trying to work through my stash and stay out of the fabric store for a while. We'll see how long that lasts!!
ReplyDeleteI would like to finish up some of my ufo's. I want to learn to use zippers so I can make some zippy pouches for gifts.
ReplyDeletelove your quilts!! I want to try to conquer free motion this year :)
ReplyDeleteThis year I am trying to do some serious stash busting. And to add more just plain fun and creativity into my quilting!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the chance. My resolution is to keep quilting! I've had a couple of years break and got back to it in 2013. Forgot how much I love it!
ReplyDeleteI'm planning to challenge myself to try more difficult projects, such as a winding ways quilt with curved piecing.
ReplyDeleteTo trim threads as I go, I am a terror for leaving them!
ReplyDeleteMy word for the year is Relax, so I am trying not to stress about my not perfect sewing. I also plan to make lots of cushions as they are a great way to try new skills and blocks. Thanks for a great giveaway.
ReplyDeleteks(dot)eyles(at)yahoo(dot)co(dot)uk
I don't make resolutions as such, but I'm going to make a concerted effort to finish some quilts, especially some of the tops I've made that I really like.
ReplyDeleteUse my treadle to make a quilt this year. I bought it to use it, so now is the time.
ReplyDeleteHow kind of you to share! I am doing more selfish sewing this year... so far, not so good but I do have another 51 weeks to improve!
ReplyDeleteI want an appointment with my sewing machine to sew more frequently, say from 8-10pm a few nights a week. I could get caught up on UFO's and then let the creative process take over. kcannon@anwsu.org
ReplyDeleteI did make some resolutions - to use what I have and to work on WiP's before starting anything else .... let's see how I go!!!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the chance to win the fabric. I think that I'd try sewing something with circles. I haven't ever tried it before.
ReplyDeleteI'm newer to quilting, so I'm resolved to make a bag this year. Love trying new projects and love the blogging world and seeing such beautiful and inspiring creations!
ReplyDeleteLove those fabrics! I must complete quilts for my daughter, son, parents and sister and myself this year.
ReplyDeleteLove the fabrics! I have just purchased my first long arm quilter and I can't wait to get some quilts together! Thanks for your generosity! A great gift!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great bundle of fabrics! This year I am planning to master FMQ, already signed for 2 courses at Craftsy.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the giveaway! My quilting resolution is to finish all my WIPs before starting anything new.
ReplyDeleteOooh, loving that dotty bundle, thanks for the chance to win! This year I'm trying to be more focussed about my creativity :o)
ReplyDeleteGreat quilts! My sewing resolution for 2014 is to 'savour' the moment- stitching and enjoying the journey!
ReplyDeleteNo resolutions just lots of plans. Expand my business to online selling and maybe even a blog {gasps} - scary!
ReplyDeleteMy resolution is to use up some of the fabric that I have been *ahem* collecting (sheepish face) before buying anything new. Second one is to also make some things for myself!!
ReplyDeleteMy goal is to make sampler quilts for my family, so I'm trying to make at least 5 blocks a month! I know, I'm crazy! :)
ReplyDeleteI'm a novice quilter and will like to make more quilts for my friends and family this year! These fabrics will help in my mission!
ReplyDeleteOMG those polka dots - love em! My sewing resolution is just to be reunited with my sewing machine and fabric stash which I've been apart from for too long!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the chance to win some of these fabrics! My quilting goal this year is to make quilts for every baby born in this area.
ReplyDeleteWhat beautiful fabric! I'd use it to make quilts for my nieces! Thank you!!
ReplyDeleteMy resolution is to get at least 6 UFOs done. Thanks
ReplyDeleteI really want to finish up some UFOs and WIPs. I'm on track at the moment to finish my January goal for ALYoF :D
ReplyDeleteJo -- patchaday [at] gmail [dot] com
Resolved to do all I can to reduce scraps!
ReplyDeleteI would *love* for these fabrics to arrive in my mailbox! I'm thinking about no fabric purchase until my birthday and at that time evaluate a new machine purchase!! Seems like a good incentive to not buy fabric.....winning would be OK! Thanks for a chance super cute fabric.
ReplyDeleteIn 2014 I will aim to finish three quilts that are in the finishing stages.
ReplyDeleteLovely quilts and fabrics! I plan to step up my finishing goals in 2014!
ReplyDeleteMy one quilty resolution is to slow down and enjoy the process more-seems I'm always thinking about the finish!
ReplyDeleteYep, would love to have them! Goals for the year...make a new bed quilt for our bed.
ReplyDeleteHow lovely I have recently rediscovered my joy of hand piecing and would love to make the wonky quilt in those gorgeous blue fabrics. Funny how piecing and peace are so similar in word and for me in action. Thank you for sharing your journey. Love Susie
ReplyDeleteBeautiful fabric! My quilty resolution to to try at least one new thing in every quilt I make this year
ReplyDeleteHow awesome! My sewing (and crafting) resolution is to only give handmade items for Christmas 2014. Figured I should start now so I finish them all in time!
ReplyDeleteMine was the usual resolution - using my stash and not buying more fabric. I broke it already - couldn't resist a Bonnie and Camille April Showers Layer Cake. Now I have said that is my last fabric purchase for the next six months?
ReplyDeleteI am trying really hard not to buy fabric and sew from my stash. So far I am doing okay and have started two quilts from my stash. It feels good. Hope I can keep this up.
ReplyDeleteI intend to keep up with the QALs and BOMs that I committed to and finish the ones from last year into finished quilts! Thanks for the chance to win!
ReplyDeleteMy goal is to finish more quilts. Last year I did lots of tops, but not many got finished.
ReplyDeleteI have resolved to finish projects. I have a bunch of half finished ones all over and I am doing pretty good about getting those going, but we are only 7 days in so fingers crossed!
ReplyDeleteOh I love those dots! At the moment I am cleaning and reorganizing the sewing room. Then I have a number of WIP's before I start something new
ReplyDeleteVery nice, thank you for the chance! I made my first quilt last year, and have purchased fabrics for several others I hope to see slowly materialize in the future. Hopefully the NEAR future. :)
ReplyDeleteTwo fun bundles! My resolution is a fabric fast! That means I can't buy fabric but it doesn't mean it can't win fabric. :-)). I am looking forward to sewing from the stash this year. Thanks for the giveaway. Mary
ReplyDeleteSketch AND polka dots?! Too fun!
ReplyDeleteI love your flying geese quilt. I would also love to win the bundles of fabric.
ReplyDeleteThanks for doing this giveaway! My mother-in-law gave me her long-arm quilting machine recently, so I am anxious to build up my stash and quilt, quilt, quilt!!! Thanks again.
ReplyDeleteI just purchased a long arm and I need to practice way more than I have had time for...so my resolution for 2014 is to rearrange my schedule to make more time for what is important...learning to quilt on the long arm!! Thanks for the chance to win!
ReplyDeleteMy goal is to work through my stash and stick to a fabric buying budget. So far I'm not doing so hot!
ReplyDeleteI've promised myself that I will not save starting all of my Christmas gift projects for after Thanksgiving. Thanks for the opportunity!
ReplyDeletemmckee at wi dot rr dot com
No resolutions. Just sewing when I can
ReplyDeleteThanks for the chance - happy new year!
ReplyDeleteLove those pretty blues! No resolutions for me. :)
ReplyDeleteNo resolutions for me. After a long break for holiday travels I'm finally back to sewing, so glad. Your quilts are lovely, thanks for the chance to win!
ReplyDeleteI started 2 quilts in 2013 and didn't finish either of them! So my quilting resolution is to finish at least 1 of them.
ReplyDeletemy resolution is to enjoy my sewing even if it takes me a long time to finish everything!
ReplyDeleteI have a hard time with resolutions but have enjoyed reading about everyone else's in blogland from not buying fabric for six months (I'd like to participate but really???) to everyone's word choice (I'm seriously thinking about that one). I'm in the process of reorganizing my sewing space right now and really just want to spend some time in there. Does that count?
ReplyDeleteMy goal for 2014 is to learn machine applique. Thanks for the chance to win.
ReplyDeleteI don't really have specific sewing goals but I want to take advantage of new experiences and adventures as they present themselves. Instead of saying No as my knee jerk reaction, I will say yes, or at least, let me think for 5 minutes. Thanks.
ReplyDeleteMy resolution is to actually not let sewing get in the way of being with my children. But new fabric is always fun!! :)
ReplyDeleteMy goal is to tie the John Deere quilt, quilt the bird quilt, finish the BOM quilt, sew the binding on the liberty quilt, and use the layer cake I just bought. That really shouldn't take all year, but... :)
ReplyDeleteGreat fabrics. Sweet quilts.
ReplyDeleteI've decided that for me this is the "scrappy year" or at least I hope for it to be! I wanna use up my scraps!
ReplyDeleteMy resolution is to use my stash and make some of the quilts on my bucket list!!!
ReplyDeleteMy resolution is to simply sew more often....I need to make some time each week to work on a project!
ReplyDeleteWell, I'm not a resolution maker, but I am determined to have more finishes this year than I do starts! Way too many UFOs in the old craft cupboard. :)
ReplyDeleteMy resolution (which I have now shared with so many people, I really HAVE to do it) is to finish my BFF's tshirt quilt. I've had the shirts for almost 6 years now. Most of the shirts are cut, I just need to either starch them or interface them. That decision is what is holding me up, so I need to make it and move on.
ReplyDeleteNo resolution here ~ I can never keep them! But I told my husband that I promise to finish the quilts hanging in the closet!
ReplyDeleteI will start AND finish at least one project each month!
ReplyDeleteMy resolution for 2014 is to learn to FMQ, I've been quilting for 3 years now & I want to do more than variations on straight line quilting with my projects. Thanks for the chance to win.
ReplyDeleteI need to use my stash and my growing pile of patterns! The Timeless Treasures fabrics look yummy!
ReplyDeleteI especially love your baby quilt shown in this post. My quilting goals for 2014 are first to make 3 wedding quilts. If I can get that done, next is a lap quilt for my Mom using her old clothes sewing scraps and those of her own Mom, too. And if I can get that done, I would love to make a quilt for a dear friend, one for the practically orphaned friend of my daughter (and she's like a daughter to me, too), and I would really like to make a quilt for our own house. No quilts live here yet. Last year was the year of the baby quilt and this is the year of grown-up quilts.
ReplyDeleteOne of my sewing resolutions was to finish my UFOs from 2013. I finished one today! :D Thank you for the giveaway.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the chance to win! My resolution is to use more of my stash! I would love to win either of these bundles!
ReplyDeletePretty fabric!!! Bloggy resolution - find new and exciting photo locations for quilt photo shoots (backyard is becoming predictable!). Happy New Year!
ReplyDeleteI have 2 resolutions this year. To finish my WIP's and to join in on a quilt along. Thanks for the opportunity to win the bundles.
ReplyDeleteThanx for the chance of winning those dotted fabrics - they are one of my fabric addictions! I hope to continue to learn more quilting techniques in 2014 and be braver in my color choices.
ReplyDeleteI need to show Flying Geese who the boss is...and right now it's not me! :( It seems like one of those techniques every quilter can do. They really aren't that hard, it's probably all in my squaring up/trimming.
ReplyDeleteTY for such a generous giveaway! TT is some of my favorite fabric.
Would love the opportunity to work with those fun fabric bundles. I have made a plan to finish some long over due quilts. Also to reorganize my supplies and fabrics, redistributing what I am not using!
ReplyDeleteI have a boring UFO from 2005 that I really would like to finish before 2015.
ReplyDeleteI've resolved to find all my UFO's and decide what to finish and what to donate to someone else!
ReplyDeleteIt would be great to win...
ReplyDeleteThank you for the chance,
