Just a couple Instagram pics for today. I finished quilting my Jumbo Star quilt last night. I can't wait to get the binding on. This was my first time trying to do real custom quilting on a special quilt. It's not perfect, but I'm pretty proud of it. It was a lot of work. I'm planning to hang this with the Salt Lake MQG display at the Home Machine Quilt Show here next month. This quilt is one of my favorites ever. It makes me so happy to have it almost complete!
Looks pretty perfect viewed on an iPad the other side of the world!

ReplyDeleteOh Kati, it's perfect! You really did do a good job on it. I love the fabrics too. The FMQ is really good too. I'm still trying to work up the courage to do all of those swirls and other things on a home sewing machine. Good job on this one.

ReplyDeleteIt looks really great Kati! I'm working on my star quilt - inspired by yours, of course! :)
ReplyDeleteLove your jumbo star!! I'm also wondering if you could direct me to the pattern for the pink and green stars out of half square triangles. It was a diva block, but I can't find a link. You posted a bit about it in April 2012.
ReplyDeleteGood for you! Such a pretty finish. I presume you'll get to attend the show. Three of my quilts (one is in the modern category) have arrived in SLC (they emailed to let me know) and will be in the show. Wish it wasn't too far away to attend.
