Chicopee from Westwood Acres

Chicopee was one of those collections I didn't love at first and decided I could do without it.  That worked until Faith from Fresh Lemons Quilts sent me a picture of the quilt she is working on as a sample for our Sewing Summit class.  I love her quilt, and I especially love that she is using Chicopee and decided I needed some too.

Then I checked Westwood Acres Etsy shop.  Luckily it was still in stock.  The bonus was that Amanda would be attending SL Modern Quilt Guild and "shipping" would be easy.  I got my bundle from her Thursday night and the colors are beautiful.  This is the perfect autumn bundle.

I already knew what I wanted to make from this stack.  Saturday morning I started cutting.

I didn't get my linen cut yet, maybe tomorrow...

Here's a quick look at my plan.  I have wanted to do a kaleidoscope quilt forever.  I think this fabric is perfect for this quilt.

Don't forget to check out Amanda's shop!  She is quickly running out of Chicopee bundles.

  1. It wasn't love at first sight for me either but now that I see people making stuff with it, I like it.
    I especially love Holly's feathers (http://www.bijoulovelydesigns.com/2012/09/feathers.html)

  3. Awesome, Kati! It's probably good I don't live close to Amanda. That arrangement could get me in trouble!
