NY Beauty Swap

A few months ago Amy put together a small swap for a mini or pillow made from NY Beauty blocks.  There were some great ones delivered, but I do love mine the best.  I received my pillow from Colleen at the Busy Bean.  She is a good friend of mine, and I appreciated the work she put into making something just for me.  She knows my taste well.  She knows I love linen and solids.  She knows the colors I love.  She even added one patterned spike, which I love. She also knew I love the Shattered pattern from the new Modern Quilting book.  We're both planning on making that quilt someday.  She designed the center circle with that pattern in mind.

Swaps can be a lot of work, but it really is so much fun having something in my home made by a good friend, just for me.  It makes me happy.

  4. I'm so glad you liked it Kati! Swaps are always fun, but it's even more fun when you know the person you're making for so well.
