Well, it's just about over. I have just 14 packages left to ship in my monster color wheel charm swap. This swap was my best one yet. I've decided this is the way to do a swap. It wasn't much more work to manage this swap than any other one I've done. All the swappers pitched in and did their part by presorting everything. That made a world of difference. For the same cost in shipping swappers received 5 yards of charms instead of the normal 2 yards. I can't wait to see the projects start popping up on blogs and Flickr!
My two little "helpers" made dropping off all these packages a bit interesting. I chose to drop this first batch off at the small post office counter in a nearby grocery store. Two big pluses for them--they have carts, and the woman who works at the counter is way nicer than the grumpy old men at our full-service post office.
This is 35 packages. I still have a ways to go, but hopefully they will all make it out by tomorrow.
Whew! I admit it's nice to have these packages on their way. Now we have walking space in our storage room again!
How fun!!! I am excited to get the charms - thanks for all of your hard work!
ReplyDeleteThanks for all your hard work Kati. I can't wait to see all of those beautiful charms in person.
ReplyDeleteI'm so excited! I really appreciate all the work you put into the swaps and you make them so much fun! I hope your having a great day.
ReplyDeleteJanuary
This was my first swap I joined - ever! And you made it so much fun. Thanks a lot! Seeing all those envelopes get's me real excited. Although I know it's totally senseless to expect something in my mailbox for another week or so, I will probably eagerly start checking it tomorrow ;-)
ReplyDeleteOh - I wish I'd jumped in on this charm swap, it looks very successful. I've only participated in a small rainbow charm that was more of a tag along to another block swap. Looks like a great resource for those putting together the Sewing Summit swaps.
ReplyDeleteWow! I know that everyone is so excited to get their package in the mail and lovin' you for organizing it all!
ReplyDeleteThanks for organizing this "Monster" - I love the way Coke features in lots of your photos - I'm attempting to give it up!
ReplyDeleteWhew, definitely time to relax and put your feet up now! Thanks again :o)
ReplyDeleteOh wow... that looks amazing... will you be doing another one in the future? I'd love to take part
ReplyDeleteYou make it look so easy! I'm seriously considering a charm swap of some kind.
ReplyDeleteYay!! I can't wait!
ReplyDeletelook at all those fabrics and packages - so great! Thanks for all of your work!
