Thangles mini and a different kind of "quilting"

I finished this guy last week.  It doesn't exactly go on our beige walls, but I really liked the idea of hanging it where I can see it.  I love the grey background.  All the fabrics are from Art Gallery Pure Elements.

I felt like it needed a little company so I designed the two prints to go on either side.  I admit that I love them as much as the quilt.  I've decided this is my new kind of quilting.  I'll just design quilts in Photoshop, and print them out to hang.

I also decided these would look really fun as note cards.  I've been wanting to try the note card products through my photography printer anyway.  I thought this would be the perfect image to use.  The front of the card is simply the main quilt design.  The back has a tiny mini quilt and my blog name in a very small font.  These cards are 4" x 5.5".

The inside of the card is blank besides three small "quilt blocks".

I love having some nice, blank note cards on hand that are unique to me and very much my style.  I have such a hard time finding cards I like in the store.

I printed it on art linen paper which gives these cards a really nice texture.

(On a side note, I am now stamping all my images with my logo.  I recently came across a site where someone had used my image of one of my quilts as their wallpaper.  Not cool.  Just a reminder: all images on my site are my own unless otherwise noted.  Please do not use them for any purpose beyond linking directly to my work, and please ask first before re-posting any images.  Thanks).

I love the picture frames and the way the complement your quilt, its a fantastic way to display your work. I love the way that the differences between the fabric and paper make the stitching stand out. Genius!

I love this idea, Kati! Your prints are very cool. Would you consider selling the notecards?

Sorry someone ripped off your image. That's so weird.

LOVE what you did with the photoshop - I hope you're thinking about selling those cards. Seriously.

Sorry to hear someone stole your image. I don't blame you for adding your logo.

SOOO great! You should sell the trios (two prints and a quilt). Sorry you have to watermark now. It's super unfortunate. :(

This quilt is gorgeous and I love how you made note cards from the design! That's awful about someone stealing your image! I accidently found one of my images on a fabric store site one day. You'd think people would know to ask!

Love the quilt and the prints you made, just genius! Those notecards are perfect, and they look great on the linen, love it all! Ugh about someone snagging your quilt pic, it amazes me that people think this is ok!

I love your whole concept, and all the ways you used it...so clever! It's such a shame, though, that some people think anything on the internet is up for grabs, and if you, as an artist should, nicely ask people not to steal your work, these same types will have the gall to criticize you. I'm sorry, but their lack of originality and creativity does NOT give them free rein to steal yours! Art, in any form is meant to be viewed by the public, that doesn't mean one can pack "Starry Night" into a crate and take it home. And I'll get off my soapbox now. LOL!
