I can't believe we are yet again at the end of the month. I used a good amount of my stash this month, but definitely added a bit to it. I ordered my FMF which was a big spluge, but one I've planned for months. I also bought some I-spy fabrics for a little swap with a few friends. I did cut fabrics for two new quilts, also entirely from the stash..
My biggest stash buster for the month was this quilt. I actually finished a second quilt entirely from my stash, but it will be summer before I get to post a picture of that one...
Did you do any stash busting this month? Link up any projects you made this month from your stash. I'm challenging myself this month next month to cut into some of my favorite fabrics and make something fun. They aren't any good in the box.
Zipit is sponsoring our little Slash the Stash link up this month. Jennie has generously offered a discount code of 15% off her store. Just use the code FROMTHEBLUECHAIR. There is no expiration on this code! Use it anytime you'd like. A while back I ordered a pack of 50 zippers from Zipit and have loved using them in pouches. I ordered 9" zippers in all sorts of colors.
Zipit is offering a $25 gift certificate to one winner! You can choose your favorite zipper colors. She also has some fabulous zipper pulls that I might need to order next time.
Just leave a comment.Link up a stash project and leave one more comment saying you did so.
I've not done much sewing the last couple of months, but I keep reading all these stash-busting posts and it makes me want to SEW SEW SEW! Gotta finish getting organized so I can do it! Thanks for the chance to win some zippers from a great store!
ReplyDeleteI used up much of my stash of blues and red on a scrappy lap quilt and would love to make some more zipped pouches. They are a favorite in my family!

I've got a couple of projects in mind!
ReplyDeleteOoooh, I've been trying to sew from my stash this year, too! It's hard when there are so many tempting new fabric options out there!
ReplyDeleteI've been trying to sew from stash lately. I just made some burp cloths from some flannel that is at least 10 years old. When I do a quilt though, I always need to buy at least one fabric to complete it. I'm very impressed that you manage to pull it off.
ReplyDeleteI have been working so hard to sew from stash. The only purchase this year has been a fat qtr. set of FMF since I never had any. The only line I'm planning on buying some of is Sweetwater's new one. Can't remember the name though. Have a good weekend!
