More Print Gallery Quilts

While I was working on my print gallery quilt for my sister at our sewing Saturday last year, a couple friends from my quilt guild decided they wanted to make it as well.  I sent them a pdf of my layout, and they created their own versions.  They both recently finished and posted their quilts.  It was so fun to see the different fabrics and takes on the pattern.

First up is my version that I posted a couple months ago.

Rachel made a version with Secret Garden fabrics for her sister.

Colleen created her own version for her sister with some Echo fabrics and goldfish in bags.

It was fun for me to see how both Colleen and Rachel put their quilts together.  I especially love how Collen framed the goldfish bags.  I'm thinking of using this idea and framing small prints in solids using this layout again on another quilt.  I've tossed around the idea of actually creating a pattern for this quilt.  We'll see how adventurous I am in the next couple months.

It's obviously a great pattern, all three quilts look brilliant even though they're really quite different. Well done!

These look great! Your original one inspired me to make something like a picture wall with framed prints using some fat 16ths of Echo that I had, but I'm waiting on the solids to frame them coming in (had to wait til this month for the fabric budget for them ;o) ) I can't wait to get started now though

It's a GORGEOUS pattern and it doesn't look as intimidating as the chevrons (which are totally gorgeous). DO make it into a pattern!!! :)

Very cool! That's one of my favorite parts of quilt along and quilt shows... seeing how the same pattern can turn out so different and distinct each time it's made! Thanks for sharing, and I think you should try to make a pattern! It's a great quilt!

Great pattern, and it is so neat to see it in different prints and styles! Also love the idea of framing the smaller prints, really makes them stand out!

It's so great to see how different fabric choices make the pattern look so different each time. And a great idea to post them together. I love all three of them :)
