I finished quilting this guy. I'll post more pictures next week.
I put together my Bee block for Katie:
I also finished up my Bee block for Angela. She will be at Sewing Summit, so I get to give it to her this weekend.
Very little sewing will happen this weekend despite the fact that there is a sewing room. I've organized another Color Wheel Charm Swap tomorrow night with some attendees. I placed my order for my swap fabrics with Fabric.com almost three weeks ago, and as of this moment it has still not officially shipped. I think my order entered some type of black hole over there. I have gone the rounds with them and have chatted with customer service almost every day this week and last week. Everyone keeps telling me that it will ship ASAP. Supposedly they are overnighting my package today with arrival tomorrow. Otherwise I'll be buying fabric for my own swap very last-minute at the shop hop tomorrow morning. Let's hope Fabric.com actually comes through. They are very much on my bad list at the moment. I don't think I'll be placing orders with them for a while.
Hope you all have a great weekend!
the black quilting on the diamond (argyle!) MAKES it! can't wait to see the whole dude done.
ReplyDeleteHave a fantastic time - I hope your fabric arrives in time, you wouldn't want to actually need to buy anything specific on the trip, if you are not first off the bus there'll be nothing left!
ReplyDeleteHave fun! I am jealous. I was hoping to go, but nope.
ReplyDeleteI hope you get your fabric on time.
I love the pinwheel star on top of the tree!! Super cute!
ReplyDeleteHa, you're the first person that hasn't got a million sewing plans that I've seen lol Have fun, and hope that fabric gets to you!
ReplyDeleteI LOVE the Christmas tree block! Can't wait to hear stories from the Summit.
ReplyDeleteIt was so nice meeting you at the Sewing Summit. :0) The quilt I mentioned making with Lori's fabric is located under my brick quilt. Amy Smart wrote the pattern for Moda Bakeshop and I love it. The quilt was a birthday present and so fun to make. :0)

I loved getting a hand delivered block! Thank you. It was so fun to meet you. I wish we could have chatted more.
ReplyDeleteHi, Kati. I purchased fabric for my argyle quilt today! It's going to be a gift for my nephew who just started college. I've also been playing around with my color wheel swap charms. I'll post photos once it's together.
ReplyDeleteIf you teach me how to do that Christmas Tree, I will love you forever. Just sayin'.
