We just had our second Sewing Saturday with the Salt Lake Modern Quilt Guild. It was so much fun. I love getting together with a group of ladies who truly understand my addiction. We have conversations that revolve around important topics like Katie Jump Rope, Heather Ross, and whether to press seams open or to the side.
I'm not sure what I was thinking, but I took three different projects to work on. I didn't even make a dent in one. There was a little too much chatting going on, and I was easily distracted, but it was worth it. I worked on the World of Goo Quilt. No completed blocks, but I did get five partially done.
Lots of yummy stuff to snack on.
The Diet Coke was very important.
About 12:30 we all took a break from sewing for a bit of lunch.
Shanon worked on Sherbet Pips. I admit this isn't my very favorite line, but I like what she was doing with it. It like it with the simple sashing.
Ann-Marie was putting together this fun quilt made from vintage sheets.
Leigh and Brooke were admiring Brooke's blocks for her Far Far Away 2 quilt.
Andrea was making this super cute quilt/playmat for her little boy.
Kayli is a newbee to our group and we're so glad she braved it. We really do have a great group.
Leigh took advantage of the huge floor and basted a quilt.
Finally just to prove I was there here is a shot with Wendy, Brooke and I. I neglected to give full camera-operating instructions to our picture-taker so it's a bit blurry.
