- I have no patience for quilt-alongs. I like quilting when I want to quilt rather than waiting for the next post to go up. I'm glad I have my own "map" to go from. So far only the first block has been posted.
- Second, I need a bigger design wall. I'm resorting to taping my blocks on the wall to get a picture of my progress. I'm trying to figure out how to make it work. I have thought about piecing a bunch of my Warm and White batting scraps and just taping them to the wall with painters tape. I don't want anything permanent, but I'd really love a bigger space to stick my projects to. I have hung a sheet in the past but had to pin everything to it. I love how my blocks stick so well to the Warm and White.

The Subway Continued
Holiday weekends really are wonderful. It's so nice having an extra day to get things done. We got several projects done that have been on the list for quite a while. I also made some more progress on my subway. I have learned two things though since starting this quilt:

have you seen the design wall that's on a la mode fabric? i think that's the name of the blog. it's made on a big sheet of insulation or some such material. so if you had a place to store it, you could just bring it to your sewing area when you need it. i'll find you the link if you haven't seen it.
