I am a sucker for giveaways. I love winning them, but I also love hosting them. Since my blog is fairly new, I thought it would be fun to do a couple giveaways in the coming weeks. The winner of today's giveaway will receive 4 fat quarters from Denyse Schmidt's Hope Valley line. It will be open for a week. I'll choose the winner Monday the 16th.
You can have three entries. Make sure you post a separate comment for each:
1. Tell me what you would do with this fabric.
2. Become a follower or subscriber to my blog.
3. Tell your friends about this giveaway.
While I was outside taking pictures of a new quilt as well as this fabric, I noticed how red these guys are getting.
It makes me happy. It's nice to see my work is actually resulting in something.
Lovely fabric! I'd make a quilt with it, of course! But being that I'm the 1st entry, I know my chances are low! I was browsing through you flickr page and you have made some beautiful quilts! I love your fabric choices! All are some of my favorites!

ReplyDeleteAnd I'm now following your blog.
ReplyDeleteThe first thing I thought of when I saw this fabric was a nice quilt for my new son. I've made my girls their quilts and haven't started one yet for him. Thanks so much for the chance!
ReplyDeleteand now I'm following your blog
ReplyDeleteI would probably use the FQs in a scrap quilt. I love greens (and blues) and can never seem to have enough of them!

Kati! I love this! I would make a pillow/s as those colors match our home decor perfectly and I haven't committed to buying any! :) Of course I would have to ask you how to do it! :)
ReplyDeleteI became a follower - I LOVE the look of your blog and the title/reason. How awesome that we would both have a giveaway on the same day! :)
ReplyDeleteHi Kati! Thanks for coming by. :)
ReplyDeleteThe squirrels have been stealing ALL our red tomatoes... so I'm jealous! (8 tomato plants, and we've got nothing -- I literally watched a squirrel run off with one last week).
I am making some patchwork pillows for a dear friend's new apartment -- she LOVES these prints. :)
I'm a new follower -- I looked around, and like what I see (and will borrow your inspiration to get a quilt made for my bed). :)
ReplyDeleteThank you! :)
oh these would make pretty table runner or aprons. thanks for hosting the giveaway.

ReplyDeleteI am now a follower too!
ReplyDeleteI have been making a quilted sweatshirt for my mother with black and white fabric, but I've run out, so some of this would go into that project. I am also making a black/white/red star quilt, so I would use some there. But most of my stuff is scrappy, so parts of each of these fabrics would be cut up to put into my pre-cut scrap bins. Thanks for the chance to win!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful fabrics! I would probably use the FQs for bags.

ReplyDeleteFor entry #1 - I found you/your blog just last week searching for bed quilt ideas for our new bedroom. I love the OhFransson quilt and the colors you chose (and those pillows!!!) I hope you don't mind, but I was actually thinking of making the same quilt in blues and greens. These FQs would work so well!
ReplyDeleteFor entry #2 -done! (added a link on my blog sidebar as well)
ReplyDeletefor entry #3 - I shared in my lastest blog post-you can check it out. Also, I currently live in Tajikistan. I bet you never thought you'd have anyone visiting from that far away!
ReplyDeleteCombined with some black strips and hot-red centers , those fabrics could become quickly an elegant... "his quilt " ;)( male q.)
ReplyDeleteI'm glad that I discover your blog, so many good ideas to follow...
Keep going.:)

ReplyDeleteA goal I have with my spare time this fall is to learn to sew. I would like to work on making a bag and might actually ask you for help one day.
ReplyDeleteI shared with my friends on facebook.
ReplyDeleteI think I would make a small seat cushion for my great grandmother's rocking chair. It was recaned in the 20's and our household knows not to sit on it. But when you have company, it just needs some extra protection. I think this fabric would be perfect! Thank you for the generous giveaway!
